Welcome! Thank you for stopping by my Sire/Dam list. Below are the rules. I request that you read these rules BEFORE requesting a breeding to avoid any problems with getting your breeding approved. Please feel free to E-mail me with any questions.
RULES
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW ONLY ACCEPTING SIX BREEDINGS AT ONE TIME, DUE TO MY CURRENT IMMENSELY BUSY SCHEDULE AND WRIST PAIN. IF YOU SEND ME MORE THEN SIX, I WILL DO ONLY THE FIRST SIX LISTED AND SEND THE REST BACK. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
.) When requesting a breeding, please send the following information on the foal and the out of stable parent (if one is used): name, breed, age, color, markings, sex, make, mold, and the parents requested. If you are using a parent from another stable, please also send the pedigree, the name of its owner, the names of the other foals that it has produced (if this information is available), and the name of the stable which it was bred at. Please also send me your FIRST and LAST name- I will not do breedings for those who won’t tell me who they are! :)
.) My mares are now bred on the limited breeding system (meaning they are open up to only one foal per year unless they have a set of twins.) Years available are listed after the mare’s name. As I did unlimited for 8 years, some breeding certificates will list more foals then years would normally allow- just ignore it and understand that it’s because of my switchover. If you request a mare and the year that you want has been used, I will use your original choice and move the date of the foal unless I have been given different instructions from you. If that mare has been completely booked, I will select another mare for you. Foals can be either aging or non-aging and I will cross off an available date in the mare’s book for either. (Example- say you want to use one of my mares for your foal. Whether you put down your foal as being foaled in 1993 or as a ten year old, I will cross off 1993 as an available date for my mare to be bred.) Also, stallions must be at least THREE years older then foals and are open to unlimited amounts of foals.
.) All fees are free. Please watch color genetics....there are certain required color genes for certain colors. For example, foals that are grey, roan, rabicano, dun, champagne, tobiano, overo, and few-spot leopard MUST have at least one parent that is the same color that they are. A chestnut x chestnut cross MUST create a chestnut foal. Please ask if you have any questions about color requirements.
.) Please send all requests to 321 N. Martha, Lombard, IL 60148. Please send all requests to Chris Wallbruch. Also, please feel free to e-mail me at wombats@earthlink.net.
.) Make sure that you enclose a LSASE with the necessary postage for the return of your certificates.
.) A few of my horses are missing parents. If you own a horse that could be a parent of mine, please write and let me know! I’m very eager to fill in gaps on my list! I would love to receive copies of your s/d lis! Also, I frequently show in bloodstock classes, so I would love a photo of your foal to show as offspring of my horses!
.) A “*” after a horse’s name means that it has had at least 10 foals, “**” means that they have had 20, and so on. A few of my mares have the statement “photo approval of foal required”. These are my most exceptional mares, and I am limiting their foals to superior models only. I’m not TOO picky (mint Breyers, mint Stones, customs, resins, or mint other nice O.F.s are fine), but I will not approve Ertls, Micro Minis, or any other type of model like that as their foals. Please ask if you have any questions!
.) Some of our stallions have a in their listing in ALL CAPS. If possible, I would like your foal’s name to contain either this word or a derivative of this. Thanks for your help!
.) All pedigrees descend either from other model parents or real horses. No pedigrees are made up by October Moon Acres.
.) Lists of all foals bred at October Moon Acres are available for 50 cents and a LSASE per breed.
.) Some models have foals listed after their names. These are foals that have achieved significant accomplishments either by s-Showing, r-Racing, or b-Breeding. If you have an October Moon Acres foal that has accomplished highly in any of these categories, please write and let me know! I’d love to add your foals to the list! Also, if you have any pictures of your foal that you wouldn’t mind parting with, please send them along! I love to enter breeding classes in photo shows and would be delighted to brag about your foals being bred at my farm!
.) IPABRA: This is a club all about pedigree assignment of which I am President. We have gotten a tremendous response to the club (110+ members!) and it is quickly becoming one of the largest model horse clubs in the country. I would love to see YOU as the newest member of IPABRA! To receive a sample copy of our highly acclaimed newsletter Bloodlines, please send me $1.00 and a LSASE. Yearly dues are $10 for US residents and $15 outside the US. I also accept PayPal- please send your payment to wombats@earthlink.net
.) I do accept BSO breedings, but only my stallions may sire them. My mares are NOT open to BSO breedings.
.) Recently I have been diagnosed with tendonitis in both wrists, and while I haven’t given up doing pedigree assignment, it DOES tend to slow me down as far as getting out pedigrees to my customers. Please be patient and expect anywhere from a four month delay if the pain is exceptionally bad for me. Thanks for your patience! If you can receive the breedings via e-mail, wait time is MUCH quicker (under two weeks) as most of these certificates are already saved for e-mail format. Drop me a line if you would prefer to receive them this way.
.) If you participate in The Express or the MRF, please write me for a copy of my very large realistic racing s/d list, which features carefully researched Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, Standardbreds, Appaloosas, Arabians, and Paints.
.) Please note: most of my horses are photo show placed because I photo show extensively. Therefore, I am limiting my horse’s show records for brevity to live show placings or records in IPABRA and MEPSA.
.) Thanks for requesting my list! I hope you find something you like!
