The name Heirloom was first used by Lady Anne Blunt when referring to the earliest Egyptian horses as a unique and valuable blood stock. Only fifty-seven Al Khamsa Foundation Horses form the base of the gene pool we now call Heirloom, and their living descendents number around 850 horses. Unfortunately, since Lady Anne's death in 1917, no systematic efforts have been made to keep this herd intact. That we have any of this blood intact today, without additive elements, is a miracle of chance.
-Col. John W. Fippen (1922-1997) Welcome to the pages dedicated to this small sub-group of our larger Arabian herd. All of these horses are Al Khamsa and American Foundation. Since Heirloom Arabians are rare and precious I will only allow my Heirloom mares to be bred to approved stallions (Babson and Doyle horses are usually safe). Not all Straight Egyptians are Heirloom (and vice versa). Two ready sources of approved stallions are Bellehaven Farms and Bint Al Mayia Arabians. Our Heirloom mares are only open for breeding to Heirloom stallions. Our stallions are available for all Arabian and Part-Arabian breedings. StallionsThese are our "Currently Living" breeding stallions. We have a few historical horses availble for breeding Heirloom stock forward. E-mail for information.Aten Ibn Mafdet1987 Bay Sire: *Tuhotmos (r) (El Sareii (RAS) x Moniet El Nefous (RAS) Dam: Mafdet (Black Sambo (r) x Fal El Aba (r)) BSO - Body Pending
This horse has a pedigree full or greats and rare treasures! Son of the immortal *Tuhotmos, and grandson of Black Sambo, who only has one extant (real) line in Heirloom. Add to that the wonderful old Babson blood and you have one heck of a horse to breed your mares to.Kasuf 1990 Black BSO - Body Pending Sire: Miracle RSI (r) (Raj RSI x *Bint Dahma) Dam: Nekhebet (*Ansata Ibn Halima (r) x Kohl) BSO - Body Pending
This stallion is amazing. His pedigree was researched from a base of Straight Blunt Heirloom Taproot horses, all the way into modern times! His beautiful sire, unfortunately, was never bred in real life, aming him all the more special.MaresNekhebet1980 Grey (Black) Sire: *Ansata Ibn Halima (r) (Nazeer x Halima) Dam: Kohl (Negem x Nesert) BSO - Body Pending
This mare was "born" in the process of researching our stallion, Kasuf, from the Taproots up. Very well bred mare. Good choice as the dam of your future herd sires!Ma Ajamala 1989 Grey Sire: Kaheel [r] (Ashour x Yosr) Dam: Maar Halima [r] (El Hilal x Maar-Ree) OF Breyer Gloss Old Mold PAM Bred by Bellehaven Farm
Ma Ajamala (How Beautiful) is a rare treasure to be sure. Her sire has no extant (real) get in Heirloom. Kaheel was so stunning, the he was used in a Mitsubishi commercial. Upon seeing Kaheel, one man remarked "The horse was in fact so gorgeous that the Lebanon agent for Mitsubishi Motors used him for a promotional TV ad for their Mitsubishi Galloper 4 by 4 model. When I saw Kaheel for the first time, my knees simply started to shake. He was not simply beautiful, he was Beauty itself." Her breeding is so rare that her produce will only be available to IPABRA members. She came to us as a very special gift from a very good friend and her incredible pedigree was researched over great lengths by another wonderful person.Raiyyah 1998 Grey (Straight Egyptian) Sire: Ibn Rabdan BHF (Ibn Lothar (r) x Bint Masarra (r)) Dam: Kalila Bedu (Miracle RSI (r) x Bint Masarra (r)) OF H-R Small Zara Bred by Bellehaven Farm
Raiyyah (Hoped for thing) is a wonderful blend of various Heirloom blood. Roughly 25% Babson, 25% Pritzlaff, and 50% Hadban-Inzihi. Beautiful and feminine, this one can give your Arabian breeding program a nice addition in the form of a future herd sire or broodmare. Also a long sought after horse given to us by a good friend.Kalmah 2004 Bay (Straight Egytpian) Sire: Shah Ibntep (Inshallah Imhotep (r) x Shallimar Bedu (r)) Dam: Lo Ruhamah (Inshallah Imhotep (r) x Shahrzada (r)) CM In Progress Bred by Bellehaven Farm
